Ex-Ohio State quarterback Pryor faces new allegations, uncertain future

Columbus, OH, United States (AHN Sports) – The allegations of rules violations keep piling up for former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor while his playing options in the near future appear limited.
A day after Pryor gave up his college eligibility and left the Buckeyes a new report surfaced that implicated the former Buckeye in a new scandal involving money for autographs.
ESPN reported that Pryor was involved in an alleged sign-for-cash scandal. The report cited an anonymous source – known now as a former roommate of Pryor’s – saying Pryor had a deal with local businessman Dennis Talbott to sign various memorabilia to be sold primarily over the Internet.
The source went on to allege that Pryor made $20,000 to $40,000 over the past couple of years in the scheme.
With those rumors swirling around him the Saskatchewan Roughriders acquired the negotiating rights to Terrelle Pryor and have spoken to Pryor’s lawyer about a career in the Canadian Football League.
The NCAA is still investigating Ohio State and its players receiving improper benefits, including tattoos, cash and possible cars deals.
Pryor has already admitted he broke NCAA rules by accepting improper benefits from a Columbus tattoo-parlor owner and was going to be suspended for the first five games of the upcoming season.
Since he is no longer a player for Ohio State, Pryor is not obligated to help the NCAA in its investigation and it is unknown if he will decide to do so or not.
A professional career is Pryor’s number one goal now and his NFL future could be determined in a supplemental draft or he could decide to wait for next year’s draft.
Various reports have the league’s interest in Pryor as tepid due to footwork and arm strength issues.
